Can you site an example or a case where professsional responsibility is
questioned...then explain your answer in the issue of confidentiality of
information such as the seal of confession...
This sounds suspiciously like a topic for an essay or term paper. I hope it is
not and this is just curiosity on your part. For you see MT is not a place for
members to ask other members to do homework for them.
Professional responsibility is questioned in every case where a piece of
engineering has failed and caused injury or death. It is also question in
medical malpractice suits, cases of abuse by priests/teachers, etc... The list
is quite extensive.
The issue of confidentiality only applies in specific instances where a
confindential relationship exists (ex. Doctor to patient, priest to confessing
individual, etc...) in other cases confidentiality is usually a non-issue as far
as items concerning the case are concerned.
