Here are a few things to work on:
- Scan quality. The quality is pretty bad, so I would suggest either finding a
cleaner version of the scan, or vectoring it.
- Outer-glow is a no-no. Just doesn't look good. Or, if you really want to use
it, I would suggest not making it so bold.
- The background: a sold boring color is just not attractive. I would go with a
dark gray-ish green, or a blue-green color for the background (maybe even a
gradient). If you're going for a space theme, a nebula or a planet would be
best. Some nice stars are also a good idea (Click
here for a good star tutorial, or check devART for some cool star
brushes).
First off, I would improve quality, and tie in the navy blue by replacing the
black in the background with a dark navy blue, maybe with a slight pattern of
it's own(space-themed, as suggested above is my vote), so long as it remains
subtle. But I really like the idea, it's really really cute. I'd really like to
get an improved version of it <3
