Okay, Final Fantasy XIII, What are your thoughts on it?
I personally think that the Final Fantasy series is the best game series ever,
and the Final Fantasy XIII will be the best one out. It has good graphics and
there are 3 different versions of it. It looks like the gameplay will be
extremely fun! Me and my friend talk about it and which one we want to buy
regularly. I want them all!
In my eyes it's going to be the best, and i want to get it as soon as it comes
out! I can't wait untill it comes out. I've seen a few pictures and the trailer,
and now I'm DYING for it. GAO~~! I want it so bad!
There aren't really 3 different versions of it, but there are spin-offs related
to it. Then again that seems to be the way Square-Enix likes to handle business
now. I mean how many Final Fantasy VII related spinoffs have there been at this
point? On to the point, I am excited about Final Fantasy XIII, but also worried.
Final Fantasy has way too many ups and downs where one minute they seem like the
greatest creation of man, and the next they make you curse yourself for playing
Japanese RPG's. I mean FFX was a fun enough game but it got bogged down in
unskippable cutscenes. FFXI is a damn joke. FFX-2 was just short of awful. FFXII
had a good story but a horrible battle system.
I'll get really exicted if they team up with Valve to finish these games since
Valve seems to own the hand of God!

Blind devotion like that allows game developers to get lazy. A name should get a
franchise recognition for what it's done, but shouldn't allow it to have a free
pass. All that is Final Fantasy is not good, and we have to make sure as
consumers to get that point across. If we are willing to spend $60+ on a game,
we need to make sure that it is worth spending the money on. It's that
willingness to buy something simply on a name and call it great that allows them
to stop trying. As I've said before, if you spent the money on an FFX-2, but
never put your money on something like Okami, then something is seriously wrong
with you as a gamer.
Will FF XIII be good? I certainly hope so as I do have an attachment to Final
Fantasy. But in no way will I just outright assume it will be. Earn my money,
otherwise there will be something else that will IE the Bioshocks and Half-Lifes
of the world.
Well, that's right, not all FF's are good.
However, I think that if we always think "how could be this game? Will be a
lost money like FF XII (sorry, I admit that)?", I think that the FF series
doesn't have sense now

i'm totally agree about what have u said!i love it very much and cant wait to
get it!^^when it release i'm sure that i will go buy it!
Well, it's a PS3 game, which means it's on a console I might not pick
up.
I'm not really a huge fan of the FF series either, though their games have, on
average, been enjoyable. (Which includes FF XII, too.) So IF I ever get a PS3
and IF I ever get the game, I won't have expectations from it. I suspect I will
be satisfied unless they REALLY mess it up. (Like they did with FF VIII.)
I can only hope that it turns out to be halfway decent. FFXIII will supposedly
use a battle system that is similar to what was used in crisis core, which has
it's ups and downs. The battle system was decent (a hell of a lot better than
XII), but it became a little repetitive by the end of the game. And that's for a
20-40 hour game. FF XIII will probably be 60+ hours long. Oh, boy. Anyway, only
time will tell. I've lost a lot of faith in squeenix lately. They seem to be
making half-baked action adventure games, not RPGs (with the exception of FF III
and Crisis Core). I just hope that they get their act together for XIII. That's
my two cents.
