Well, Bleach is great, and I'm currently rather obsessed with Tsubasa, but still, I think I'll put in my vote for Fullmetal Alchemist.
Please note that superlatives threads are HIGHLY discouraged because most often than not they are repeats of existing threads and don't foster much discussion (which is the point of forum threads in the first place.)
Members, please state your reasons WHY you believe the anime should be #1 or else this thread will be closed.
