You'd probably get more people biting if you maybe mentioned a few shows that
suit your tastes. Saying you want "light-hearted" is kind of an
ambiguous request. There's light-hearted comedy, light-hearted romance, slice of
life stuff, magical girl etc etc. Entertaining goes without saying, but maybe
dropping down more specifics or something to compare against would likely help
in your search. I'd be glad to come back by and see if I can help you after
that.
Ok, some shows I like are Tokyo Mew Mew, Lucky Star, and Galaxy Angel. I also
like Full Moon, even though it is quite different from the first three. I would
also be open to trying something new. If you know of a show that might catch my
interest, or one that you think is really good/entertaining, feel free to put
that down. Right now I am kind of in the 'looking period' t o find new anime
shows, and would like some help. Thanks!
The most light-hearted ones that come to mind for me: Full Metal Panic Fumoffu
is a really funny show, but you may want to watch the first Full Metal Panic to
get to know the characters. There's also Pita-Ten which has an odd sense of
humor, just not as odd as Galaxy Angel. Genshiken is absolutely hillarious, but
you really have to either be otaku or know a lot about otaku to get a lot of the
humor. You'll almost always get the recommendation of the Melancholy of Haruhi
Suzumiya, which I found to be entertaining enough, although most will have you
believe it's the greatest thing ever. Midori no Hibi, I My Me Strawberry Eggs
and even Mahoromatic (eventually gets really depressing though) might all be
good ones to look into.
Sure I mentioned a lot, but that should give you a few titles to use in
research. Hopefully you'll give one a try and it'll be good enough that you
won't curse my name for recommending them. And if you ever find yourself leaving
your light-hearted phase and moving into other genres, let me know. I'm sure I
got something in my bag of tricks.
Thank you for your reccomendations. I have only been into anime for a few
months, and don't really know about alot of shows, so I appreciate you taking
time to respond to my messages.
Does anyone have any reccomendations for anime shows that I might like? Something light hearted and entertaining is prefered... Thanks!
