Songs are great when they elicit emotions within you. My favorite anime song is
Shooting Star by kotoko. This song has an excellent beat to it and also if I
combine the song with reminiscing pictures of Onegai Teacher, it brings tear to
my eyes and sometimes cry.
Next up would be LOVE A riddle (by kotoko) and then Sora wa Kataranai by Inoue
Kikuko, that one is a real tear-jerker.
Hmm..Currently obssessing over the Full Metal Alchemist songs especially UNDO by
Cool Joke and Melissa by Porno Graffitti. Also loving Rewrite by Asian Kung-fu
Generation. Most of my english music is depressing, and a growing bit of my
Japanese too, so I even it out with upbeat rock and whatnot from anime. =)

The opening of .hack//sign, or that song they play in it alot about being lost
in the rain or something, can't really remember right now
My favorite is koikoko from Tantei Gakuen Q. The song is really meaningful and the tune just makes me want to cry.

I have to agree with you Kei-kun! Some songs might have a nice beat but the lyrics will help bring out the deep feelings.
