fav mecha from the gundam universe is probably the zaku, and all of its
variations
Shining Gundam because the Shining Finger attack involves the entire hand and
the Original Gundam that Amuro pilots, it really moved like a human. Amuro
would throw around his shield, go berserk and do everything else in it.
Gundams usually have the same type of functionality.
The coolest gundam is the Tallgeese.
Just think about the completely nonsensical name, while the machine is so
daggone cool.
Maybe I'm being old school, but I'd have to say the rx-78gp03 Dendrobium from
0083: Stardust Memory for sheer variety firepower. Kinda like an older version
of the Strike Gundam w/Meteor pack.
The rx-78gp02a Physalis will literally nuke all these alternate non-UC Gundams.

And my personal underdog favorite is the rx-79[g] from 08th MS Team. Finally, a
Gundam that's not piloted by an emotionally scarred and mentally disturbed
teenager. Something the rest of us regular people can pilot. (^_^)

ass... but got shot down in ep 4 in war in a pocket... i think it was ep 4...
That's what i hear from a lot of different people. That the Gundam SEED Gundams
are really awesome to watch, that they're just better drawn and constructed than
the Wing Gundams.
Sadly though, i haven't seen SEED yet. So i'll have to go off of my experience
of Wing. And said experience would have me wanting Tallgeese 3-- .... oh. not a
gundam. right. Ok. That decided, i'd probably say Gundam Deathscythe Hell
Custom. I absolutely love the demon look it has going on, with the HUGE wings
and the even cooler scythe, upgraded in the movie.
HeavyArms custom was also rad due to the sheer amount of firepower built into
it. =D

my fav is got to be either Justice and Freedom in Gundam Seed or the Double X Gundam in Gundam X.
My favourite Gundam would have to either be the Wingzero Custom or the Freedom from Gundam Seed its pretty cool too.
