Anyone anticpating this game? There is a world preview event going on this
weekend.. for people to test it for 3 days.. Its made by the creators of battle
net and the lead programmer of Diablo 2 and starcraft.. The game looks pretty
amazing graphic wise and everythign and solely relies on the skill of th eplayer
rather than the time the player spends like in all traditional MMORPGS
I'm seriously pumped up for it. I mean I was introduced to the demo of it by a
friend and I've been addicted ever since. I cannot wait for this game to come
out, its going to be just amazing. I know they've already improved so many
things, but seriously theres nothing left to say other than that its going to
put ALOT of MMORPG's to shame. Espically games like "Ever'crack'"
espically since from what I've understood that its going to be free
online.
Oh btw, TwistedGTX, they had a demo of it about half a year ago actually. Thats
how I found out about it, just to let ya know incase you actually doubt I did.
I have some screenshots I took as well =P Well 'print screen' shots, but
nonetheless. Anyways I'm so ready for it to come out......@_@ I was hardcore
addicted to D2 and sc/bw. So when I heard about this game being made I freaked
out =D.
I downloaded the client and I keep on having problems with it. I got to play for
about 30 seconds and then something went wrong. Now I can't even connect back
on. I don't know what is wrong.
I have been realy realy exited to see this game for a long time, and when the
beta finaly arived i was sooo disapointed, alot of bugs, and everyone started at
lv 15 with like 8 spells to start with. I think that destroyed the beta a little
bit, and the camera angle keept switching places all the time, if they dont fix
these things i wont be buying the whole game when it will be released.
Oh god... Guild Wars (imo) blows WoW right out of the water. I'm enjoying it far
more than any other hack 'n' slash mmorpg I've ever played. It helps to have a
guild/companions and a well balanced party. They made quite a few improvements
over the early beta stages, and it looks spectacular as well.
EDIT: I know this is an old thread; but instead of making a new one, i decided
to post in this one... *shrug* oh well.
I need to find people who play this game...anyone? I started recently and will
be doing lots of miniquests. I'm a ranger/elementalist and only at level 4 so

ps this is the only mmorpg I will play because of the fact of no pay to play
that reason alone was kind of why I wanted to buy it. I don't believe in pay to
play so this was my answer XP

atm. If you need help (and my guildmates don't want me to help) I'll try and
assist you. I feel so utterly stupid. Went and crafted + dyed an armor 3 hours
before I found a better armor and repeated the crafting + dying process. Yay!
We sould get together sometime... and boy do I wish I could go back to
pre-searing ascalon with my current character :P

You can buy dye for your armor and weapons; it makes the cooler colors I'll
be playing for most of the day in about 4 hours or so... because I have class in
a bit

studying to day. So much for mission running today
I only got a chance to play it for a little while (Level 3), but I definitely
enjoyed it. The only unfortuante aspect is that I don't have an internet
connection at my home so I can only play it when visiting friends and family --
at least for now. Works out alright though in that I've got several console
games to play as it is (when I get the time to even do that).
It might just be me, but leveling in Guild Wars goes very quickly (if you know
what you're doing).
Doing quests is an excellent way of rapid leveling, just grab a few henchmen, a
healer, and a meat-sheild and go. Worked well enough for me ^.^ If you get a
guild, (if they're nice) they'll back-track and help you out, sometimes you need
to be patient (Somebody was asking for help yesterday, but me and a few other
members were stuck in long mission).

destroyed ascalon :X although the manual does tell you, but still yea and the
items are bugging me I am going to start a new character soon. I'll still be
playing the ranger/elementalist. I think I can no longer fight alone...its so
hard...gwen is a secretish character and isn't annoying...you need like 10 red
iris flowers, girl cape, and the flute. use her in ascalon when you can! she
helps a bundle and I think kind of makes your first party as a healerish
character once she has all her items and you let her follow you. ok thats all
heh... Yea, working alone ends at post-searing ascalon. Doesn't go past it...
You can solo if you're way over the level, but even that gets difficult.
Missions are usually what advances you through the story the fastest, they're
also harder and harder. I've just finished my warrior (sort of). Wheee... time
to get started on my other characters!

too cool.. but too bad, my hand is tied now.. will get the game mayb in the
future!!
My mesmer is great for PvE, but horrible at PvP. Either that or I just don't
know how to pvp with a mesmer properly yet
Good luck with those who have the game, there are some missions that are
rediculously hard. And then there are some quests that are even more
rediculously hard. (Stupid Mhenlo)

Looks alright, I dont like the armor and weapon design. World of Warcraft, it's gonna be phenomenal.
Ill probably be buying World of Warcraft instead, it looks alot better from what ive seen.
