i was just wondering how everyone here pronounces it..cuz i pronounce it an na may .. but my friend pronounces it an ni me

That's pretty much the same thing....I say both. It doesn't really matter to me.

I pronounce its as an ni me
but wateva da pronouncation is, the end is alwayz 'may'
^.^

I pronounce it an-eh-may. o_o

To my belief,
I would say I would pronounce it as
an-en-may.
That's how most pronounce it. :\

just use hiragana sounds ( the way japanese say it )

so you have anime which is in japanese A ... NI ... me

a ( sounds like "ah" )

ni ( the "i" sounds like the "ee" in "feet" or the "e" in "neat" )

me ( the "e" sounds like "eh" together )

so it is correctly A NI ME

no "an" sound

or "eh" or "en" sound in the middle

or "may" sound at the end

and no "na" sound what so ever

ah nee meh (how its pronounced in Japanese) ---------------------

I've said "an-i-meh" since the sixth grade, so I'm trying to break the habit by saying it properly--"ah nee meh." So I guess I pronounce it in Japanese, at least more often.

Ah-nee-meh

That's pretty much it. (damn 64 character requirement)

<lol> This is amusing. :) I think accents would differ, too. Brits to Americans to Aus, NZ and Can, everywhere else and etc. Um. My pronounciations change depending on my mood and how much I can be bothered moving my mouth. XD Usually, a-ni-may though.

wow, its hard to comprehend more than one way of pronouncing it. However I can see how the accents would factor in. Id be like "No its pronounced an-nee-may!" he would say "Ahn-nee-may" ig yell again, and heed say "but tha is how i said it!" lol

a - n - i - m - e
that easy :nya:
*runs away*
ahahaha... seriously,.. I pronounce it "ah-ne-may"

Ok, freakin' seriously. How many people do we need to say the SAME thing?

Ah-ni-may
An-i-may
Ah-ne-may

ALL of those are said the same way. So seriously, I'm closing this. It's: Ah-ni-mae.
