The other day I was taking with some friends (minako and hikaru :P) about some
wierd, peculiar things that I have seen, and heard, in some anime series; than I
have never seen in any other anime.
I came with this thread to see if anyone of you have seen this or have seen
other things that you haven't seen in any other anime. You can post anything!
(try not to give spoilers, please) .

1) The first thing I have never seen in an anime before came from Elfen Lied
anime. Ok there is a LOT of things in that anime that has never been in any
other anime, but anyway; truly I have never seen any other anime character using
a Batman t-shirt before. Not a big thing but have you seen that before?
2) The other thing came from DearS, Its the use so free of the word
"Orgy". Maybe in some Hentai's; but to name an episode
"Orgy-nii"?! Imagine Mahoro saying "Orgys are bad for you!"
nice? (well... kind off...)
3) The last wierd thing that I have never seen in any other anime before it's
from Gundam Seed (ep 18-19?).
Using dual weapons now is some kind of common. Kirika from Noir used dual guns
in ep.16; Archer from Fate/stay Night uses dual sword and many other; But
DUAL-BAZOOKA???!!
You heard that: not dual-berettas or dual-uzi or even dual-mp5's;

I have never realize any of those things either. Though, I am sure that there
are tons of unique stuff like that in every anime series. Though, thank you for
sharing your thoughts broq.
I've never seen an opening to an anime change over time, like Bleach seems to be
doing. The opening is one way until episode 4, then it changes ever so slightly
and appears it'll be changing more as the series progresses. Really neat,
actually.
in Earth Girl Arjuna......I saw a mobile with the picture of Elmo in it
(really....infact, they passed that mobile image too many times....if you see
Arjuna, be alert to a mobiles scene and search for Elmo ^^ )
Can I turn this around and say "I've never seen this in an hourlong series
before"?
It's the most remarkable thing... in the first season of Everwood on the WB, I
caught Effram wearinga P-chan (from Ranma 1/2) shirt. It was P-Chan! I have
never seen a character in on of these shows where an anime shirt before!
In Midori No Hibi, the main's character (Seiji) right hand turns into a...girl!
And this girl (Midori) was an ordinary girl who loved Seiji, but she'd been
hiding her feelings for him. But no that's his right arm, she doesn't hesitate
to express her love! Nyahahahahaha!
wow you guys are very observant in watching anime. Well I noticed that most of
the new stuff you guys observed are from new released animes. Very Good!!!
how many animes do you know starring a middle-aged salaryman with a family? i

MenchiBurger: Bleach change the opening a little over time; but is not the only
one. Tsukiyomi ~ Moon Phase ~ also change the opening in each episode and at
the ending there is a CG from diferents anime artists, you should watch it, its
really fun!

on the 3rd season of everwood, he had a bunch of gundam WING stuff in his
room... ^^
In Fruits Basket, there was this one episode where they were using BEEP censors
when the characters talked.^^; It was just so strange that I laughed for about a
minute after I saw it...
I saw alot thing like those in samurai champloo (possible spoilers):
NOTE: the sory in this anime sets in ancient japan (edo era)
1. Edo era with hip-hop music
2. Yakuza boss in samurai era wearing cool sunglasses
3. Samurai doing breakdance while fighting
4. Nice graffiti on castles and walls (like those in bronx)
5. Gangsters using nailed bat and butterfly knive
6. Seeing people getting high because opium filed is burned
7. Dog and squirrel participating in baseball
8. Samurai with underling providing him backdround music (like beatbox, y'know
using your voice to produce instrumental sound like drums, bass, guitar))
Many, many more but can't describe them.
Just watch the show and see many original things there

I'm talking about Scrapped Princess, it's the first time I see an anime in which after half of it the genre change!! that was really cool xd
