My favorite japanese bands are Rip Slyme and Dragoon ash
(Hip-Hop and J-Pop)
Rip Slyme is very enterteining and funny

I like more the female jpop singers or seiyuus....so many of them....like Megumi Hayashibara for example.
The bands I only listened so far are Larc en Ciel, BOA, Orange Range and X Japan...All of them are cool!

I should check more of them...

For example Asian Kung-Fu Generation and X Japan. They are awesome. But i like many many other bands, too

Make-Up is my favorite band too... they make Pegasus Fantasy for Saint Seiya.

Female Jap singer are definitley better singers.
I like Hamasaki Ayumi, BoA, Kotoko, Do As Infinity and many more. ^^

Favorite Japanese singer will always be Maaya Sakamoto!

And BOA is actually Korean not Japanese.

T.M.Revolution, two-mix, Mika Nakashima, Megumi Hayashibara, Vivian or Kazuma, Utada Hikaru... and loads more.

My favourites are Lucifer, L'arc en Ciel, Maaya Sakamoto, Masami Okui, Two Mix...

L'Arc~en~Ciel and LUNA SEA. Though L'Arc~en~Ciel are on the downward arc of their rainbow - I wonder how much longer have they got left? As for LUNA SEA, it saddens me that they are no longer around.

It's not just dificult it's expensive man!
single: $250 (like 23 dls.), album: $400 (like 36 dls.)
Double album: 550 - 700 (around 60 dls.or more ) Double like Ayumi LovEpears!
and the variety it's just limmited!

Well I have seen that no one have mentioned A. Nanase, Porno Grafitti, M-Flo, Mai Kuraki, Utada Hikaru (sings main theme for Kingdom Hearts!), Move, Tamaki Nami, Koda Kumi (she sings original theme for ffx-2), etc...
just a lot more and a very good composer shall be Yohko Kano,
In every genre I have a lot favs. so let me say if it's well know in the genre (J-pop, J-rock, J-Hip-hop, K-Pop, K-rock) I might know that artist also likes Yan Z. Kiang!! a a very LOT more!!
And of course I love the female singers:
Ayumi Hamasaki, BoA, Utada Hikaru, Megumi Hayashibara, a LOT more!
