I think yes, all stories have relation with the original movie, direct or
indirectly they are ramifications of what happend in the Matrix, you just have
to look for the correct time to relate each story to the original one. I liked
The second renaissance a lot it was the perfect beginning for the matrix
trilogy.
I think the same as alereborg for example "the last flight of the
osiris" (I think it was like that) is mentioned at the beggining of the
second movie, the story of the boy that gets free from the matrix, that boy
appears later in the second and third movie... and so on with the other
stories...
Animatrix is one of my favorite DVDs, the stories are great, the animation
styles varied and stunning, and even though not al of them affect the main story
directly, the help you get a wider scope on what exactly the matrix means not
just for the heroes of the movies.
I think the animatrix's purpose is to explain more about the matrix. I guess all
the stories does relate to the matrix in some way.
And some of the stories did not make sense. Ex: the one where the humans convert
the machine in that virtual world hurt my eyes so i couldnt understand it. Most
others did tho.
Some of them were better than others. I really liked the animation in Final
Flight of the Osiris, and that other one with the j-pop girl. I forget what that
one was called.
I believe the stories make sense together! It is difficult to say, if you
haven't seen the Matrix would it still
make sense? Actually I thought the Animatrix was a wonderful addition to the
movie trilogy, especially for my friends that kept asking me to explain it to
them.
I preffered Beyond, mostly for not really being attached to the fil;sm in any
way. By that time, the movies had lost all that was good about them anyway, I
say.
In animatrix Did all the stories they showed add up to the original matrix movies?? tell me what you think, did it make sense to you?
No, only some of the stories are directly related to the matrix movie
The visual effect of animatrix is amazing

Animatrix is a work of art in animation.

Not all of the stories were related. Some were just ideas that people had approached the Bros. with, and decided to do.
yes i did make sense, bit it was horrible bad... ^^

They were marketing ploys, but some of the stories were cool. I don't know, I just watched them on Adult Swim, lol

it doesn't make any sense to me. probably i don't care about the movie anymore.
My fav is the Last Flight of the Osiris. They tied it with the Matrix game and also the movie to some extent.
