I know there are a few "what did you get..." threads out there already, but I figured I'd start one specifically for anime!
Here's what new anime I got under the tree:

Wow!!! I already watched the whole Haibane Renmei set, and omg, what a beautiful piece! Yoshitoshi Abe has done it once again :D!!!

i got the three volumes of .hack//Legend of the Twlight
I didn't get anything except a watch. >.< It cost so much money I didn't feel good about asking my parents for anything more than that. ~I'm getting waay too nice o_0

None, cause my parents consider anime as a "childish cartoon that I shouldn't waste my money on". So the
only way I get anime is by buying it myself. Lucky for you though......Recieving a full box set for X-mas...and
Escaflowne at that..I won't even mention how lucky you are to recieve something like anime for Christmas. @_@.
Plus no one I know would spend as much money (since anime is far too expensive) for an X-mas gift.....so yeah......

Indeed. Kyou has gotten quite a lot! But just to let you know, the anime which I received, is actually anime which both me and my wife received. And guess you bought them? That's right! We bought it for oursevles :P. Also, I am fortunate to have gotten an employee discount where I work, so that is the other reason why we were able to afforst those boxsets. I can tell you that if I had not gotten the discount, I would not have bought those! So there ya have it. Unfortunately me and my wife were alone this year, without our families, so we just stayed in and watched Haibane Renmei.

I didn't get any anime dvds for or as a gift, but no big deal I prefer to buy my own anime dvds and graphic
novels instead of my parents buying them for me.
I recently bought ROD the tv before the Holidays and the series is Awesome, super very cool, I can go on and on. Im
looking forward to buying ROD the tv vol 4 and 5. After Im finish purchasing all the dvds for ROD the tv, the anime I
want to purchase next is series Ai Yori Aoshi-enishi, Chrno Crusade, Comic Party, Gundam Seed, Shingetsutan Tsukihime,
Cosmic Stellvia and Gunparade March
I know what CyanideBlizzard means... like I said, I didn't get any anime or manga or anything related. My parents
think it's stupid as well, they've never bought me any anime ever in my life... I've to buy all my anime
and manga myself.
