OK, I just finished a pencil/color pencil drawing.

It's a goddess like lady in a flowing green dress with blue sashes and wearing red jewlery. She has long red (orange) curly hair flowing up, red eyes, and in her hands she is holding flowing runes.

Now I need a background and I'm not sure what to draw for it. Should I leave it balnk? Make it all one color? Help!!!

P.S. I'll post it when I'm done. Could take a while though. :D

Try either a very simple background, with matching colors or try to do an art noveauish design.. for that i'd photocopy the original drawing first so you can tryout some designs without messing up the original.
