lol.. I saw that link from a friend's page.. I was laughi-- wait.. LMAO while reading it... I know it's funny for us since it seems like teaching someone what 1+1 really is.

It's hard not picturing a parent jotting down notes or printing the page and sticking it up somewhere for future reference XD

Bout time. Now its just a matter of time before you can take leet in school. If I have any kids, they are so taking leet as their bi-lingual language. Thanks sammo for sharing this with us, I find it personally amusing and I'm gonna show this to all of my friends tomorrow =D.

rofl, this is just great, haven't laugh this hard for sometime now. :D Well I guess they need to start somewhere, but I just can't imagine the effort of sneaking behind their kids' back to just read their emails would protect them. That is just lazy parenting.

Hey they told parents to watch tv with their kids to montior their viewing habit, but the parents never does that. They just throw their kids in front of the tv and expect the media be responsible. Internet is the same, reading your kid's email doesn't help you control your kid, it just made them more rebellious, how about try talking to them instead. ;)

ROTFLMAO! - the vision of that is as funny as the article its self! (though the use of leet really does drive me mad!).

Quote by article"w00t" or the smiley character \o/: An acronym that means "We Own the Other Team," used to celebrate victory in a video game.

Haha~ okay, that one I didn't know. XD <lol> This is great~<3

Quote by article"ph": often replaces "f," as in "phear" for "fear" (as in "ph34r my l33t skillz")

*guffaws* XD XD Thanks for sharing!

@CyBliz: Ah.. just remembered. :) My English teacher (who, funnily enough, was Italian..) told our class one day that one of her collegues back in Italy had started teaching SMS-English as part of the course. XD

Quote: The suffix "0rz" is often appended to words for emphasis or to make them plural. For example, "h4xx0rz," "sk1llz0rz," and "pwnz0rz," are plural or emphasized versions (or both) of hacks, skills, and owns.

LOL, they're teaching them everything! XD
My parents don't even know how to copy and paste ( ~_~ ), so this should amuse/greatly confuse them.

Quote: "pwn": A typo-deliberate version of own, a slang term used to express superiority over others that can be used maliciously, depending on the situation. This could also be spelled "0\/\/n3d" or "pwn3d," among other variations. Online video game bullies or "griefers" often use this term.

Online video game bullies? Yeah, that's what we should protect our youth from, not drugs or any of that other nonsense! Make sure you talk to your 12-year old about internet bullies before they go to raves, parents! LOL XD
Wow, um...it's pretty bad when you get upset over what someone on the internet thinks of you. XD
Thanks for sharing, sammo.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Firstly, how the fuck did M$ managed to get the English translations??? I mean, 31337 5p33k is supposed to be a cryptic language. Second, does that mean parents will follow M$ suggestions? That's stupid. Doing this is like installing a Web content filter. The best content filter is some speech with your son, telling him that watching pr0n is normal for a man, but that some sites are very unrealistic and maybe not adequate for his age; that's when your son is still 11-14, because once you have 15 your criteria is better formed and you'll know what suits you best. I, for example, find sexual perversions disgusting.

this is one of those good/bad type of thing because parents can find out if their kid is using the internet for a good purpose and not for bad stuff like hacking or view porn....

I saw that page last night because it was on my Msn Today page! xd'
i actually read it too, just to see what they thought things were. I think they did a decent job, in fact. ^^
In fact, my mum is one of the people that actually taught me some 1337. >_< hehe! I guess that's just because I have a cool, tech-literate parent who teaches this stuff. ^^
