I use bittorrent to download mostly anime. I suggest you just google it, there's bound to be a website about it. XD
To use BitTorrent, after it's alread installed, you have to find the .torrent file (in your case, you've
already found it, I guess), that's the file that contains the information about what you intend to download
(it's a very small file). Then, open it (usually, after a normal install, the extension .torrent will be registered
at installing) and then choose a location to save the files.
It's possible to resume files by opening the sabe torrent and saving at the sabe location.

like all the fine responds before me, bittorrent is better than another p2p software like kazaa :) , that is if you are looking for anime. ^_^' however it is very good for things like software, movies and music....oNLY AMERICaN software, movies and music though...! >.<

It is great for Anime episodes. I get 'em all through that now. So fast with my adsl.
Bittorent is like emule and e-donkey which can you find a huge collection of Anime, games, movies, progtams, and so on. In addtion, it depends on the seeds and clients. However it's faster than than other programs.... :) :D :) :D ;)

Bit torrent has a will crash any Windows run computer system at random. You may not ever have it happen to you, but if/when it does, it wipes your hardrive completely. I've known 4 computer (2 of which were new) to have this happen to them.

Owch, tough luck, that. I've never heard of that happening to anyone else.
www.isohunt.com is a torrent searcher (it looks at other sites
for torrents) I use it all the time to find abscure anime. What you need to download files is a little file called a
torrent file. What it does is that it gives you the address of the tracker and then the program it self looks for other
people downloading the same file by using the tracker.
Note it doesnt share files but rather shares the file you are currently downloading.
Google Azureus its a nice client to use.
