I read the manga, and I love it. Unfortunately, I've heard bad things about the anime. The series is ecchi, but it isn't something of Eiken (or even Maburaho) caliber.

The difference between the anime and manga is that a lot of the perverted jokes are toned down in the anime. (ie, in one of the earlier chapters, Negi sneezes. In the anime, Asuna's skirt is blown off, but in the manga, her entire clothes are blown away)
The manga has a lot more substance, plot, and overall fun than the anime. Still, the anime is good, but the manga is much better. But that shouldn't stop you from getting both. :)
Oh, and Kaede Nagase forever! It's too bad, though, that one of the worst things about Ken Akamatsu's works is that you already know who the main character will hook up in the end. Asuna - bleh... :(

Yea ! Nagase is really cool ! ^.^ Gotta love her ninjutsu XD
And yes, I agree with you about Ken Akamatsu's work...who the protagonist hooks up with in the end is very predictable even in all 3 of his works ^_^'

Getting a little annoyed over the same thing being said over and over again.
Anyways, I was really pleased to see how Akamatsu started off the series similar to Love Hina in terms of comedy, but then turned it drastically into a more action oriented series.
Still loving every minute of it. Can't wait for the anime to be released.

Nah, actually, I enjoy Negima. The story's decient, and it's Akamatsu..

but ill bet it's the same.....Clairfy that statement. Not all manga is "pedo anime." A lot of the time, the manga is a lot better than the anime itself, and most animes come from manga.
Name a series, and it more than likley has roots in manga.
So don't go around saying manga is "pedo anime", whatever the heck that is....

Its not a peedo...since Negi somehow do not act like kid taht often so like in many mangas or animes happen you forget heroes actual age...Like f.e. you forget taht Asuka or Rei are only 14 year olds in Evangelion since they really look older...Same goes here...even more so in manga...In anime all charcters seems to look a little bit younger but its ok...
And Negima does have a plot...and even drama (like Yues inside conflict that begins somewhere in chapter 87 to go in full speed),,,
