1. Why do dogs shake themselves for the heck of it?

it's cause they have the feeling that they have something crawling on them... its kinda like when you have the feeling that you have a spider on your leg so you brush your leg real quick so that if there is something there that it gets off... so dogs shake themselves to get rid of that feeling

Sometimes dogs have something that may be irritating them. It could be an itch, which is most likely. It could also be some sorta of bug like a tick. I dunno. My dog usually has an itch when he does it.

yeah thats usually the case. its also cause of fleas too, whenever they irritate a dog then they would try to shake it off
