In the anime, there is no romantic relationship between Ed and Winry. Winry looks up to Ed and Al as if they are her brothers. They are just very very close friends, almost close to being siblings. Sometimes Ed blushes at Winry, but nothing serious.
However....
In the manga is quite different. I LOVE the relationship between Ed and Winry in the manga. It's really obvious that Ed likes Winry, because he cares about her sooo much and has stood up for her in bad times. If you have read the manga before, you know what im talking about. I also think that Winry has a crush on Ed because of what she had said onboard on the train. It's so cute! I hope they somewhat have a romantic relationship in the manga...because they make a cute couple. Though, I doubt it will happen.

I agree with Terra-chan. Nothing's actually going to happen, but there's enough hints at it that you can make a good fanfic. Though, luckycharm is right too, there's a lot more romance in the manga. Maybe we'll get lucky and we'll get some fluff ^_^

Their relationship is more of a just friends kind of relationship. I agree with Luckycharm that the manga goes into their relationship a little more.
Still, there's not really any romance between them.

I think Ed and Winry have feelings for each other: whether romantic or just more than platonic is never made explicit in the anime.

I finished the anime series but still have not seen the movie or read the manga. It may have been a while since I finished the series but in the anime I do not belive thet Winry and Ed had an romantic realtionship with eachother and never mentioned anything about being boyfreind and girlfriend. I belive that Winry feels more like an older sister to both Ed and Al.

I think Ed loves Winry. Because i'm just watch FMA "kaninang umaga" (Sunday). Even Winry see the inside of his watch. He just scolde her a little. hehe

If they do wind up together I think it'll probably be in a unique way cuz FMA is definely an anime that is out of the normal 9X9 box so maybe they'll just leave the anime hanging on what ifs and the manga might have more show of the relationship but typical main character love or not it'll be cool.

Just wondering how far is FMA on cartoon network anyway because the way most of you guys talk I do not believe it has gotten into the best parts yet. Plus there are many major plot twists that make you think differently about the show. I will not say any more because I might ruin some of the story for most of you but I have to say that Winry and Ed do not end up together in the end of the series unless the movie changes things.

Yeah they like eachother, i've seen the whole series like 100 times and have cosplay outfit and the watch....lol
they like eachother but it never really progresses, also ed likes rose....you just have to see the end to really understand
