Max Payne, the broken soul.
Garret from Thief is great as well (the dark one). Others are Rayne from Blood Rayne (sexy and deadly) and 47 from Hitman (stone-cold professional).
I hope to see some more character development from Gordon Freeman in Half-Life 2.

Link first and for mmost.Anyone who can kick evils ass while wearing thights and not looking stupid is ahero in my book.Plus he just rules.Just like pinkdoromi and sakura,Kirby and Cloud are pretty awesome heroes.I name some more when I can think of them.
