Well, it's been a while since I posted a poem here. So I hope that it doesn't disappoint those people that were looking forward to my next release. This one is called "Lover of the Midnight Sky", and I kinda just went off on a little writing tangent during English and later refined the idea. So again, enjoy. And to those returning readers, thank you for coming back, and to those new readers, thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy my works.
Lover of the Midnight Sky
The wind blows,
the blades of grass,
move with it,
glimmering as it waves,
back and forth,
forever swaying in the wind.
The sands of time,
ever shifting,
never stopping,
falling through the hour glass.
The tides come,
the tides go,
shaping the coastline,
with every time it comes.
The moon,
it's many stages,
constant,
beautiful,
always watching.
Watching,
everyone and everything,
from the sanctuary,
in the midnight sky.
There I sit,
alone,
in that unchanging
land.
And there I sat,
watching something brighter than any star.
I sat there watching you,
you shown through the darkness,
and shot me,
with cupid's arrow.
And,
as that arrow,
pierces farther and farther,
into the depths of my heart,
melting away,
the ice that covered it so thick.
As I drift from the moon,
towards you,
I begin to feel again,
something I had not felt,
warmth.
The warmth of so many suns,
focused down upon me.
So I wait in the midnight sky,
waiting for you to notice me.
Until then,
I shall be,
eternally,
watching you,
and doing nothing but...
