we are fighting dreamers

I just noticed this little bit of news on Animenewsnetwork.com ... Looks like Namco Bandai are making an E7 game for the PS2. My initial reactions are not good since Bandai are infamous for messing up anime-games.

Eureka Seven Vol. 1: The New Wave Scheduled For Fall
anounced on 2006-04-11 12:23

Intense Mecha Action Fights Its Way to the PlayStation(R)2

SANTA CLARA, Calif., (April 11, 2006) - Leading video games publisher
and developer NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. announced today that
"Eureka
Seven(TM) Vol 1: The New Wave," an exciting mecha combat adventure for
the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system, is scheduled to ship
this fall. A prequel to the anime series from Bandai Entertainment,
"Eureka Seven Vol. 1: The New Wave" promises an intense action-based
storyline rife with stunning aerial boarding and thrilling robot battles.

Featuring transformable mechas called LFO (Light Finding Operation),
"Eureka Seven Vol. 1: The New Wave" introduces Sumner Sturgeon, a budding
LFO pilot trainee on a lush, futuristic planet whose primary energy
source are "trapars" - invisible energy particles that provides lift for
aerial travel. An aspiring elite military officer, Sumner can transform
his LFO into its humanoid form to surf the skies on a ref board or
remain in vehicle mode to participate in exhilarating high-speed chases.
"Eureka Seven Vol. 1: The New Wave" offers a variety of gameplay modes as
the gamer can switch from playing the character and controlling the LFO
mechas in real time. With customizable mechas, this upcoming title
guarantees an intriguing storyline and exciting combat in an unforgettable
sci-fi world.

What once was good enough...

Also there's a Eureka 7 PSP game too...here's the official page for it, http://eureka-game.net/psp/index.html . Good news about this one is...PSP's aren't region coded for the games, so you can import it and play it on any PSP there is.

i played this game...it follow the anime...
i dont really like it, not really attractive... the LFO fight is boring and the mini-game too... i was disappointed by this game...but Eureka7 still rocks !

The trailer really made it look and sound like an anime re-cap. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't buy it, if I was given the chance. Hell, it's got about the same type of stuff that you see on the PSP everywhere else, except this one...it's about something that is cool.

Does anyone think its worth buying a psp for tho?

I LOVE EUREKA 7!if I HAVE A GAME SYSTEM THAT HAS ONE OF THE GAMES ILL BUY IT!AND I HAVE ALOT OF GAME SYSTEMS!THE GAMEEureka Seven - Vol 1: The New Wave COMES OUT HERE IN OCTOBER!

I'm eagerly awaiting the New Wave game for PS2 myself. Can't wait to hop in an LFO, mount my board, and ride the trapars at last! Here's hoping its worth the wait!

Follow your dreams. Honor your vows. MiX iT uP.
