975 DVD's: At least 5 digits there, but that's all I'll say so I don't cry.
Other merchandise: Couple thousand at minimum.The only way to put it into perspective is that I did spend $200 on a pillowcase. Can you say frivilous?

Its ok to spend on the stuff u like once in a while as long as u know yor limits n have proper budgets. For me i seldom spend on anime these days. The most probably $50. Nothing too serious. Plus i dont buy manga so thats extra savings 4 me ^_^.

Well I rent my anime, so probably a few Australian dollars per rent. The only anime I've ever bought was DBZ: Movie #5 for my bro: $30 AUS and Onegai Teacher Box Collection for myself: $75 AUS, and Onegai Teacher Official Fan Book: $50 AUS (had to buy it from overseas, since it wasn't available in Aus).
