It's quite hard to respond you.

Maybe it's really better if you check for websites with info about "how to write horror stories".

You can begin with this forum thread (when the forum will be back) : http://forums.fictionalley.org/park/showthread.php?s=138d173ac4235049efe80119200e1c4d&postid=1539467#post1539467
It's a forum about Harry Potter but most of the links given aren't HP-related.

Or you can read this : http://www.suite101.com/course.cfm/16716/seminar

... ok sorry, my links aren't really updated.

Rule one : Always have a suspension induced Plot. That is, put in lots of mysteriousy plots and leaks to let the reader keep themselves thinking and in suspense.

Rule Two: Never overdo it. Instead, proceed with each chapter like laying a trail of bread. Like Hunting.

Rule Three : Induce more depth into each Plot. Making them like a Chain of series of evidence that will lead to the ending.

Rule Four: Always have a Cliff-Hanging Ending. OR, Mysterious/Zen-like one. ;)

Golden Rule: Vivd Imagination. Think how you want the readers to feel and imagine while you are writing. Like cooking up a storm of food and wanting your food testers to know how you want them to feel but actually, it wasn't. BE Wicked.

That's about all i know from past writings. Tip of the Trade secrets. :) X-P

Thank you, Ms Toya999 for the wonderful Signature. :)

Well here is my advice. Go with what you know, horror is actually one of the most difficult genres to write because it's hard to do. For example the writers of horror today don't really know how to make it good anymore and lots of lots of blood...it's not scary. Aliens aren't scary, neither are fake sharks. Your best bet is to focus and then make abstract the criminal and cereal killer mentality. Now that doesn't mean your character has to be human but whatever you do don't create a monster like the one from Jeepers Creepers...that blew big time. You want to for fantastic but realistic and I know it seems like I'm giving you advice to make a horror movie but I'm not that are just examples. You want your main character to be stunning and startling but only when he or she is killing people. Now everyone has their main bad guy being either too big-headed or the quiet shy type both have been done to death and yet they aren't dead yet. Be new and original. If you can't see the world as blood and guts then your story will lack spirit the kind of spirit you want the scary horror spirit.

Well I do have more advice but I don't want to put you to sleep. :)

Horror is easy, I write some horror in my stuff. On fight scenes, write how the heads roll on the ground and the blood shooting from the wounds. To make something sick and scary you have to describe the bloody and decade scene as if you were there yourself. Describe how the blood and body parts fall off and fly, or descirbe the way a dead body or ghost looks. Depeneds on what kind of horror your doing.
