we would probably be much less advanced scientifically because war actually does that too.
so people would live shorter lives - maybe.
so ni short - who knows? :P

nah..don't really think they will be no anime and some other factors you said. Countries evolve and so do certain aspects such as ppl's taste and preference. They can't be weating petticoats and long dresses like last time! :O
What I think is some countries will be more advanced than they are now. Like some countries used to be very developed in those days but was destroyed by the war so if there is no war, they will be better off....and mr. nazi hitler won't be famous :3

some of what i'm gonna say may had been said by some posters here, but i'm gonna say them anyway..
technology wouldn't be as advanced as what we have now
i doubt there would be the internet, cause if i'm not wrong, the internet was developed by the US military for communication purposes or something like that.. but they released it for the world to use in the end..
warring countries compete with each other to develope better warplanes.. as a result things such as radar, electronic system, jet power, pressurization were developed.
many asian countries will still be under colonial rule..
i will be studying british stuff..
one way or another, technology will still advance, there may be the internet, anime, radar etc.. but perhaps slower, since the wars in some sense acted as a catalyst in the development of certain technologies..

World War also contributes to our current technology we have, but yet, because of that, nuclear and biological weapons was created, and therefore people may foresee that as a "Doombringer to the world".
But yet, without World War,there will be no chance for people like us to learn about what war will bring about, because, our ancestors never experience it.
If Hitler didnt exist, there will be no World War II... XD

I know one thing in certain, if it weren't for WWII, most of the things we take for granted today such as technology and products wouldn't exist or still be in the process. Many things were sped up due to WWII that's why our progress today is quite outstanding.

Well, while the resources spent on ammunition and energy on wars would be spared, the technology that spawned after WWII-->Cold War would be lost. Jewish people wouldn't live in Israel, no Gulf War in result, no more land conflict over there, Koreas wouldn't be divided, Vietnam wouldn't be screwed, same with Russia.
Negatively, Japan would be really annoying while they gain control over China and Korea, Germany would be the dominant country instead of USA (Reason because is that many established Jews, like Einstein, used to live in Germany), And oh boy, LOTS and LOTS of difference if we compare media.

Other than what all the others may have mentioned above(i agree with most of them), i would like to point out that any disturbance in history or any changes made to the time stream we are living in may cause drastic changes in the present. important events, such as WWI & WWII would have resulted in uncountable changes between human interactions, thus futhur divide and branch out into other events. should this major events cease to exist, infinitely many things that have resulted would disappear into nothingness and new possiblilities wuld grow. if any one of the events among the sea of changes resulted by war was to cross with our ancestry, then without that chain of events, we, you and i, may not even have existed or being born into this world in the first place! Scary thought, isn't it?

I agree with most of the points here except the one about the world wars reducing the total human population because of how many died while they were fought.
Though millions died in both world wars, the post-war baby boom more than compensated for this.
Perhaps one way it may have indirectly helped to lessen the population was that the world wars were a great oppurtunity for women to take on many of the jobs men used to do.
With this, they became more independant and a bit more free from the chauvanist concepts of what a woman should be that were prevalent in those days. As a conseqeunce, the rise of women in the working world led to a decrease in the typical size of families as women took on more equal responsibilities. In that way the World Wars may have led to less people being around today than if they didn't occur.

It's true that the World Wars were really important in making other countries richer than other (yeah, that's the truth). I don't think some countries would be so powerful now if not for the wars. Not to mention that the loosers got the worst part. But it depends on people, and not that much on countries. I mean, who would tell now that Japan was actually in the losing side? Still, whenever I think about the world wars, the recurrent thought in my mind is concentration camps... and that makes me wish none of those wars would have ever happened, no matter what.

Badjojo...were you trying to reply to my post or something? Cuz u just posted exactly what I did. lol.
Another possibility would be that USA wouldn't be quite the superpower it is today, since its isolationist policies used to hamper its economy before the World Wars broke it out of its shell somewhat.

i think the world is the world...with or without wars, it is the same...people will destroyeach other whether it is in a world war or just small gang fights...
i think that is...
but then again...a peaceful world is kinda hard to imagine...i wonder if it would be boring...or maybe feel wrong...no no don't get me wrong i think peace is heavenly, but earth is not heavenly, and i don't believe in fairy tales or dreams...peace is a dream...

Q: "What will the world be now if there were never any World War?"
A: If a mistake didn't happen so that we learn from it ...it will happen in the future and have the same consequences if not greater (greater since the knoledge/technology of war advances)....that means we might as well be fighting now whoknows what kind of atomic war ...but we've been there when we had NO atomic power/knoledge (WWI) compared to now, and we learned it's consequences.

1) Hitler could not have created world war 2 if there is no world war 1.
2) Britain and USA will not be like what they are today.
3) No Anime
4) Girls and women might still be like wearing those puffy heavy dresses (cant' wear jeans) and stay at home and do housework.
5) People might still not understand that having war is a very sad thingWell i will say ALL OF THE ABOVE! XD
