What the title says, have you ever talked about anime to your teacher? What are their reactions to it, did they seem interested or did they just ignore it. ^_^'

I know I have talked about anime to one of my teacher. Well I was given a writing assignment to do, and I chose the topic on anime. I can't say he wasn't interested in it at all, but I can't even say he was interested. He did pay attention to me on the subject from beginning to end. :D He even introduced me to his friend that like anime, but he was a little old for me :) Other then my English teacher I don't talk about it to another teacher, because I doubt they are interested in it, hehe

So I guess you people probably have done it too, right? :)

My teacher would probally look at me werid. She would probally look interested but her face was saying like "oh my god, okay shut up already" or inside of her should won't care. Know what i mean?

OH! YEAH! I missed that teacher of mine! Yes! i have a teacher (when i was in grade 6) whom i could talk too about anime and stuff! He even tried to steal my anime cards! that freak!(he would let me play in the school computer then he would borrow my cards,..of course i'll forget about the cards^^) heehee...but i really like him(not that "like"...) as far as i could remember, i have gave him one of my cards...poor him... (or did we exchange...i forgot^^')

LoL, nah I have never talked to a teacher about anime. If the subject is brought up then I will add my comments. It's not that I don't want to talk to my teachers about anime, it's just that the thought doesn't occur to me while in class. Plus, I am a university student; my teacher would think I'm weird if I only stayed to talk to them about anime (which is something irrevelant from class ^^'). Maybe if I was in high school, I might have done it.

I have only talked about anime with my language teacher since he is otaku too, but he doesnt admit he is xD... he keeps asking me about the tsubasa chronicle movie and the fullmetal alchemist movie xD

Weeeel, I hardly knew anime while still in school, but here at university I once showed this site to my boss / departmental head. He knows I'm a fan and a Japanophile but he doesn't really understand it. He'll tease me about it and I can rip back at him. Depending on the topic of discusssion I may refer to anime to give examples of whatever we're talking about. But aside from him, none.

Well..there was a faculty advisor for the anime club back at high school. He wasn't into anime that much, though..mainly just Dragonball Z (which I know nothing about).

Oi! Yeah. I was so surprised when I found out lol.
My grade 7 teach was/still is really into Anime.
I remember his sister or something lived in Japan
and she would send him stuff like posters etc
One time, he gave me a postcard and poster from GSD.

Never. Other than my friends, i ve never dis anime with others. Not even my parents, siblings nor relatives.

Holy crap, yes!
Last year (9th grade), my English teacher (who's also the Drama teacher) asked me after a Drama rehearsal for stage crew "What got you into anime?" during a lull in the conversation between us. My response was that, even though some of the situations aren't very realistic, you can relate to the characters (at least better than you can, say, relate to Superman, or some other Marvel or DC based creations... though some of the things they've produced are good). We also have a very open-minded adviser for our Anime club.

and also, my japanese teacher, of course she knows about anime and manga. she's just not so obessed over it so I look kinda freaky when I do talk about it..hehe

Teacher: "Anime? is that some kind of french sweet or something?"
Me: "...never mind"
Teacher: "Did I get it wrong?... oh, wait, isn't that japanese Porn!?"
Me: "...Just....never...mind... you're wrong, DEAD WRONG"

yea that sounds about right for my last few teachers as well. Tho I did have an art teacher in highschool that did a two week long section of the class on anime. She said it was one of the higher art forms ^_^. I dont know about "higher art forms" but it was pretty cool.

Tried once, with my friends. Teacher was convinced that all anime was 'hentai' though >.< so that didn't work out too well.
