Valued for its simplicity and convenience, early forms of the sandwich can be traced to as much as a century before Christ.

So S&F, describe your favorite sandwiches!

As for myself, I enjoy:
-Lettuce, onion, and chicken/tuna salad in either a toasted croissant, pita, or bagel.
-Tuna melt with American cheese on wheat.
-Leftover holiday turkey or roast, ketchup, lettuce on toasted white bread.

white bread, french toast, or wheat for a sandwich

with:
-mustard, lots of chopped lettuce, lots of turkey, lost of bacon, some tomatoes and maybe some pickles
-peanut butter and jelly
-mayonnaise, turkey, tabasco, mustard, and maybe cheese

Open-face tuna melts: tuna salad (tuna, mayo, dill, lemon juice, celery, salt, and pepper), sliced tomato, a little mustard, and sharp cheddar, sometimes with sprouts.

Really good hot pastrami with mustard and pepperoncini.

Not sure how it's called but it's basically an "all you can find" sandwich, including a sunny side up egg.

Grilled tuna, or the good old fashioned PB&J. I like crunchy peanut butter though, and apricot jam or blackberry jam.

Stand Alone Complex

The Monte Cristo Sandwich from Cheddar's. Roast turkey and hickory smoked ham with two cheeses on fresh bread, battered and lightly fried, sprinkled with powdered sugar with raspberry preserves side sauce. It's sooooo good! XD

spicy tuna! no vege what so ever.

The BLT. If I could afford the bacon I would eat those every day.

BLT, peanut butter & jelly, and egg sandwiches are my faves. I once finished off a whole loaf of bread in 2 days when my mom bought strawberry jam and I found the peanut butter. LOL

Russian: beef, pork leg and Oaxaca cheese :p
