I joined, as many others, becauSe this website has the most AMAZING wallpaper EVER! I was looking for video games and then I found this website! The manga/anime/video games collections are awesome! I love this place!

Initially, my reason was that I'd run out of credits and wanted to post and earn more - I was on a wallpaper hunting spree.
After taking a quick look around, though, my first impression was that this was a great site with a friendly community. So I decided to stay. ^_^;

well... i joined here a long long time ago.. lol

but i remember the reason for me was also to add anime pics to my huge collection XD !

but now... i rarely come to have pics as i come to spend sometime in the forum ^___^

the ppl here r just perfect XD !

i love them very much ... although i don't have time ... but when i do i always pick minitokyo to spend my time in !

to all new ppl ... wait a little and u'll see what i mean by saying PERFECT XD !

That's a good point, but it's not annoying.
It takes a second of your time. But just so you know, another way to get credits is if you comment on each picture you're about to download. So it's as if you never lost a credit. As for meeting new friends, not enemies, you'll meet friends if you come in contact with people who take their time out for a real response rather than the Forum/Picture Trollers who type like 2 or 3 words each time they comment.
As for enemies, you'll make those if your comment is offensive, you're aggressive or if you steal someone else's scan/wall from another website and submit it claiming it as your own or not giving credit to the original artist.

Thanks for commenting back ^^ Seriously, I've been on many sites and as you say there are many trolls or dummy accounts and it gets frustrating to be talking to someone who has no intent of replying. As for the credit system, annoying was kind of out of line though I'm not used to forums so it was the only word I could think of. I'll admit also, forums aren't my thing but here it's really worth to get into them because I must have images these nice images lol [not to abuse or steal of course, just to have on my computer to look at]

I never thought of it like that, commenting on pics that are saved to keep the credit number up. It's thoughtful and beneficial to both parties. I'll give it a try, thank you for the tip :)

I don't plain to do any of that to gain enemies but only meant sometimes opposing opinions or such get some people riled up even if they know the rules of the site. Your reply and tip was most appreciated.

Heh, It's absolutely no problem. I don't make dummy accounts, only like once or twice for an Instant Messenger or a Game, but otherwise, nah.
Commenting on every picture is not only beneficial, but it makes reading the comments on the submitted walls for the Artist fun and more enjoyable. He/She can also be more confident, so it's very beneficial. When I say commenting, I mean not trolling, but taking time out (Like we've been doing) and posting a REAL response.

Opposing opinions anywhere can create an argument depending on who i is. Some people take it too seriously, some people are those types who like to be told that they're always right. So bumping into them or those whom are similar aren't much of a big deal, just prove your point, but no need to rub it in if you've clearly won the argument, heh. :D

Someone thanked me on my guestbook, I was glad to let them know I appreciate the time they take to post quality pictures ^ ^ Sometimes I don't post great comments for every pic if in a rush but the majority of my comments are pretty much thought out.

As for me?I found this site on the Animelyrics.net and was very interested in what does it contain.
But I`m a lil bit disappointed that here isn`t anything but the picturesT_T
Howewer?they are brilliant! And the forum is interesting,so I like being here.Alhough nobody understands me yet here what do I mean and I dont even hope to make friends with somebody?the international sites are good practice of my English, cause I live in Ukraine and need to pass English exam this year.

so well, here i am. my reasons are not unlike yours and it's looking a lot like i'd be spending a lot of time here.

for now, i'm only interested in the gundam series but this site has a lot of neat stuff... i'd like to thank everyone in advance for keeping me company.

Welcome, welcome. I'm new myself too, and I joined this community because of the quality scans that people put their time and money into. I believe anyone who came here to take part in downloading and staring at awesome pics will need at least a bib and drool-proof keyboard. Buahaha.

Wow, thinking back 5 years ago when i am 12 years old. (wow i never noticed i have been on Minitokyo for such a long time ._. )
I was just browsing through looking for some anime related wallpapers for my desktop/reference to practice drawing and i happen to stumbled upon this website. Since, it requires registration to download the wallpapers, i joined Minitokyo and along the way, i had an interest to start making anime wallpapers too. ;D
