My favorite choices in mecha/mobile suit anime is definitely Gundam Wing in the Gundam category, I also like Code Geass, Evangelion, The Five Star Stories, and Super Dimensional Fortess Macross.

hmm what a hard decision for best mecha it's a toss between big o and vandread I didn't care for escalfowne much, the movie was more helpful and I liked it again. As for gundam possibly the "chibi gundam" (don't recall the name any more), g gundam and gundam wing I was disappointed when epyon was no longer present that was and is my all time favorite gundam

My favourite? Full Metal Panic (mostly because of Sousuke Sagara). It's great mix of fight, action, comedy and a little bit of romance. I love it :)
