You could go back in time and change catastrophic events and make thing turn out the way that you feel would have been best.
Of course, that would have an effect that could cause worse problems. Think about it.

That is the ultimate wish. To intercede in the actions of God and suppose that ones own judgement is superior to His. Knowing that we are foolish by comparison is no comfort when we can not make sense of the situations that we are thrust into. Believing and faith are the keys to retaining ones sanity and understanding when we are faced with such a thing. When He takes a family member, He has a reason, and the loved one is happier than we can know, as we remain yet fettered to this temporary home He has provided us. Understanding will come to us one day.
