Look at the quality of the scan, large sizes don't always mean its way better. Since both scans are already large as it is, I have to do a quality check. The smaller one has a much clean and smoother look than yours. Yours is bigger but the quality is not that great. There are lots of paper texture and scanning artifacts. Dengeki moeoh magazine's are small and the paper quality is not that great compare to the poster counterpart of that picture. Since you are scanning from a smaller source, No amount of filtering and scanning on your part can ever compare to the quality of that small one (poster version) already in the gallery.
