as this isn't my typical department so you'll have to wait patiently for a person/s over that area to stop by with a comment, but I don't see anything wrong with it. as long as it's your original and it's not ripped or taking this image, that image and this image and making it into a new one just redone, then I don't see a major problem with it. as for the background it seems sort of grainy which suits the anime. it seems simple yet sometimes it's the simple things I like more than the major events. but patience is key, I'm certain a person/s over that area will stop by soon :)

well I sorta made it "grainy " on purpose... will technically what I did is add noise, crotch hatch it put a filter on it and lower the opacity, thought it fit the theme so I went with it, hope it didn't end up lowering the quality

the only way to truly see that is if the image is officially seen in other resolutions, deviantart is sort of strange about resizing images even at their largest, but it can sometimes and sometimes it won't, sometimes it can actually make it that much clearer. you could "play" around with it some and see what you come up with while you're still waiting. when I went to click on the full image it looked "normal" to me I didn't see any jpg artifacts or anything along those times.
