Left handed, here. And the story about lefties being more artistic is proven true among most. Lefties tend to use a different side of the brain more often than righties.

Left handed, but I can write with either hand now. I'm the only lefty in my entire family (extended included).
I'm also left-eye dominant (meaning I look through the scope of a gun with my left eye, wink my right eyebrow shut and leave my left eye open when I'm half asleep)

The dominant eye does play a strong part in which hand you use, thats the eye closest to that hand and like the aim on a gun you have a better view of what that hand does, You wouldn't have the gun on your left shoulder and aim with your right eye,
Both my parents are lefties, but all my siblings, incliuding myself, are right handed. Though both of my parents have a good eye for proportion, this may prove part of the myth of lefties being better artists. I still think there is a equal chance.
If it is to be it is up to me.

I am from birth of both hands, well really all in my family on the part of my mother are this way, but I recommend thoroughly all that don't develop a single hand but rather they use both because if alone they use one, your brains will work alone in the side that you are working and you can't do all your potential.
