Ike, Fin Funnel!

I wonder if any of you guys still practice the old traditions in your country or just say in your community.

To tell the truth, I still practice those but only few. Like the speaking of "po" and "opo". The Filipinos always say this to the older ones and personally I don't practice this anymore but sometimes I am required to do so.

But I still help others but only if I can.

You guys?

The only thing I do from the Old Country is cooking my (spaghetti) sauce from scratch for about 8 hours. Ragu=teh suck. I have to have homemade sauce or I can't eat pasta. It's just.. Uck.

hmmmm...i don't think i still follow any old korean traditions cuz most of my family and i are pretty much americanized. unless eating korean food counts as still following our old tradition.
XD

Yeah, I still practice "po" and "opo," but I only say these when talking to older people who are not close to me, or are strangers. For my parents and grandparents and some other close relatives, I don't. :) I think I still follow traditions if I don't think they're stupid. I especially like eating "tikoy" everytime we celebrate the Chinese New year! :D

Bugok ka krieg! For me Akaiken, during New Year's Day, my family still practicing those old traditions like making a cotton balls. Cotton balls and rounded things represents money and wealth. Some Filipinos still believe in this tradition.

Even though I'm Filipino, I only practice old Chinese traditions that my mom and my grandpa "Chi-Nigga" taught me...

Pop and Opo sucks... spitting out "Tang ina mo" and "Gago" is my thang....

Yeah, I still practice the old Filipino traditions. One of these is saying "po" and "opo" to the elders or to the ones I hardly know. I still say "po" and "opo" to my family and to my relatives. I guess its one way of showing respect. :)

po and opo is a sign of respect. so older people deserve it truly =p especially grannies. besides you'll sound like a lame kano if you disregard that tradition.

otherwise, it depends what kind of tradition it really is. i don't celebrate halloween. =p
