I was browsing for mecha figures on eBay earlier and an idea popped into my head. If you could own one mech from any series - this includes the Evas, LFOs, Mobile Suits, even Battletech-series mechs - which would you pick?
I'd pick Matthieu's TR-606, the bright orange jet-looking beauty in Eureka 7. I'm getting a model of it imported for only $30, shipping included.

I would piolt the battleworn, tired and true MadCat from the Mechwarrior series, don't know if it qualifies as a mecha, but it sure kicks a$$. I also want to drive a Uziel, which is a new born classic that rivals the mad cat, check them out:

Hum... Very dificult question... But i think that the Valkirie of SDF 1 Macross is a good choice, they are very "agile" and "quick" in maneuvers and can transform into a Fighter jet. A Mech and a Fighter Jet, the two tipe of combat vehicles that i more like!

Put me down for either the Strike Freedom from Gundam SeeD Destiny of the WIng Zero Custom from Gundam Wing Endless Waltz.
I just fell in love with the Dragoon system and the variety aavailable with the Strike Freedom and I was obsessed with the Wing Zero Custom ever since I firt saw it unfurl its wings

I think it would be Wing 0 Custom. It has the 0 system, which communicates you mind (In a GOOD way, otherwise, i
would've chosen Eva unit 1 but.......god... I don't think I would need to explain). If that doesn't
count, then The Cordal in FMP (btw:the one with the hair), its really cool
wouldn't really matter to me.... as long as it can fly @___@ i just wanna fly around and crap.... and shame on you

You would definitely love me because I made the blueprints for the Strike Freedom!
I would just love to pilot the GINN! Because one time I was in a GINN space simulator, I had to use the Coordinator OS, so in that simulation I single-handedly destroyed 26 GuAIZes, 50 GINNs, 10 CGUEs, and 5 CGUE DEEP Arms! So likewise, I just absolutely love and adore the GINN!

I agree, the Wing Zero Custom is a gorgeous machine, and Gundam is what got me into the Japanese mecha. SunSpots, good Battletech pics! I've driven both of those in MW4, and they're outstanding platforms to build on. Blazehammer, I have a nice transforming model of Hikaru Ichijo's VF-1A sitting on my dresser- another fine machine.
I still take a liking to the board-mounting LFOs, and after reviewing the mechs of Gekkostate, I'm gonna get Hilda's single-seat Terminus typeR808 instead. A bit more intricate, a nicer paint job, and yeah Nephilim, a bigger gun. :P

In my case I would choose one of the Evas, specially Eva-0. A sentient mecha is really cool, and it can go all crazy when it is in berzek mode, plus how many mechas can eat their enemies?

hard choce. more or less, I would want to pilot Strike freedom gundam.( I absolutely love it!)
I'd most likely choose the Wing Zero customs or the strike valkyries from Macross (the VF-1S would do).
I'd pilot an Eva. There's no training nessessary to move it; it just moves with my thoughts. Also, you have to breathe in liquid to pilot it.

an Aries or Leos unit from Gundam Wing either that or the standard MS-05 Zaku heck even the RX-78 would rule

I would have to say I would pilot the MS-18E Kampfer, from Gundam from 0080. Yes, I know he isn't the most powerful, but god, all those mounted weapons and such MORE than make up for the lack of armor. It's too bad the enemy gundam had extra armor... it woulda been toast!
