Nice tutorial ! I would have a question though ~ How you put image like ID for example above the popular art on your userpage ? Do you need any codes to make the image centered or does it go automaticly ? Also would like to know how you can add texts to your userpage and how the font changing works ? Have been looking around but haven't noticed anyone asking/answering on this matter. Or then I'm just so noob and haven't understanded the text right xD

Here are some basic code you would need for your userpage.

Make sure you always close your code with then ending code I have displayed below or they wont work.

For Centering:
<center> You put your text or image code here </center>

For text sizes:
<font size="3"> Put your text here and change the "3" to whatever font size you want </font>

Bold Text:
<b> Put your text here </b>

Italic Text:
<i> Put your text here </i>

If you want a different color than the ones you have set in your Style Editing in your userpage than:
<font color="green"> Put your font here and change the "green" to whatever color codes you want or color name</font>

For Creating a new paragraph:
<p> Put your text and paragraph in here </p>

To Insert a line break:
<br>

If you want to align a large section of text on the Left, Center, or Right side of your userpage use this:
<div align="left"> Put your text here and change the "left" to either Right or Center if you want </div>

Put put an Image up on your userpage:
<img src="Put the Direct Link to your image you uploaded here">

My suggestion would be to just redo your userpage image to where on the right side you have a solid color to where when you upload it again it will repeat a solid color and will not look like its repeating. There is a code that lets you use a whole image though but I havent figured that one out yet. But till then editing your image should help.

How do you make the top part of the background image stretch farther? I hate having my skin crammed in to the left corner and would like it to be longer...

Hello! Thank you for this wonderful tutorial, it certainly makes things a lot easier *_*
I have a problem with the backbone background, though. I'm trying to make it transparent, so the part of the header under it can be visible, but when I try to add " background: none" it just displays the color [ screenshot ]. Without the color, it shows MT's default backbone BG image.
After some slight modifications I made the background more visible, so you can see where the BB begins [ screenshot ].
I tried to cheat my way out of this by using a blank image as bg.png , and so far everything's been going smoothly except for this problem. Any way to fix this? o_O

I've thought of making a new layout for myself and decided to read again these tutorials since I'm completely hopeless whit CSS and all. And I've always wanted to know how one could change that left column where the avatars are to a different colour. So I was very clad when I could finally find it here but then I couldn't get it. How and where do I upload that image which contains the colour I want that left column to be? Thank you in advance!

Excellent tutorial! It really helped me make my userpage look better, now I seem to have a problem though.. I made a userpage layout following this tutorial and it worked just fine but yesterday I was trying to change it for a new one and somethings wrong. My header doesnt show, it only shows black, been trying to fix this (I tried different formats.. PNG, JPEG, GIF) but none seems to work, so I tried to switch back to the working layout I had before but all the same, my old header is not showing which is weird that it worked before and now its not working, all header area just goes black =/

I'm not sure what should I do or fix cause I dont know what I did wrong to begin with ._.
hopefully someone can help, I'd really appreciate that. Hope my userpage or my account is not corrupt or something >.<

Hi Hujisaki! The header image change is not taking effect whenever you upload a new one, is that what you mean? I experienced the same thing whenever I tried to change my header image, I can still see the previous image I had or the background color that I set for my page. What I do is I refreshed my page, clear cache and history. If it still doesn't work, I just waited for quite some time because maybe the new image I uploaded is not yet updated on their server. After waiting and refreshing the page again, the new image is now there. You can try to do that because it worked for me. ^_^
