i'm in a bit of trouble with my page though. when i go to the HTML editing page, even though I put the code properly and when i click preview it shows (and i remembered to click the "Update" button), no matter what i do it wont show on my actual profile.

i even deleted my cookies and history, relogged and went back to check.

the html code i put is still there on the html editing page. but it wont show its results on my profile at all. @w@; is there a way to fix this?

i thought mAybe it was because the admins were fixing soimething but it's been like this for months (since last yr) starting from when MT got its new layout.

Are you trying to use the old layout codes for userpages we use to use before minitokyo got updated because they wont work in your userpage HTML anymore. You use a new CSS code in your CSS editing style now.

But if it is your HTML profile codes melymay maybe right and it is because your userpage skin, or maybe one of your codes is broken and is effecting the rest of the page. If it still not working you should post your codes and I will see if I can find anything wrong in your HTML codes if that is why its not showing for you.

The only thing I see wrong with your coding is this:

You need to use " instead of ' and for the border you need to use "0"> not '0'/>

You don't even need a border for the image/link you are doing anyways.

This is the correct way:

<a href="Put the URL or direct link here"><img src="Put your direct link of your image you uploaded here"></a>

If that doesn't work try using the center text code where for every text you use <center> Your text here </center> you can also use that for image codes.

Besides that I don't know why your userpage wont load, if that doesn't work I would post here again.

What's weird is when I click "Preview" I preview it perfectly. I see the image I put, the text, everything shows up nicely. But when I click update and go to my userpage to check, it's not there. Lemme screenshot it for u.

Maybe try <body> put your content you have here and at the bottom try </body>

and try doing this <center><p>Your text here</p></center>

Your userpage contents must be written in XHTML. This means that all element tags need to be closed.
Instead of <br> you need to use <br />
Instead of <img src="blahblah"> you need to use <img src="blahblah" />
Note the />
Also, you might want to try <p align="center"> instead of <center>, as I'm not sure if <center> is a valid XHTML tag, but not 100% on that one...

i don't think that'll do much, no offense >_<
but before the layout change, MT switched to XHTML. Actually it was that time that I rly started studying xhtml codes and it worked fine on my page.

Also, groups are using the same format. The XHTML format.
And my group, which I've done the entire code for

works perfectly.

That's why I honestly believe it's definitely not my coding. And I'm sure that if it was, it wouldn't even show up properly in the preview which I handed a screenshot for. xhtml is xhtml. @w@ i dont think that the group userpage's coding is different from the way u'd deal with a personal page.

And also, i'm pretty sure other people use <br> and img src in the same way i do, yet it works on their page.

i hope an admin takes a look at it soon. >w< it wouldnt be fair if my account is bugged and stuck like this when making another account isnt even allowed on this site.

n-not that 'm being impatient or anything. like i said, i've dealt with this problem for a few months now since last yr and ignored it. wouldnt be fair to pressure admins to fix it fast just cuz i have something to put on it all of a sudden.

Have you done any skin changes to your userpage? I know that when I was customizing my userpage CSS, there were a few CSS changes that made my userpage content disappear. Resetting the CSS made it all better, although I don't remember what I had to delete in order to get the content to stay put anymore.

EDIT: If you view the source of your userpage you'll see your new content IS showing up -- however it is showing up in the section where custom CSS normally goes. This usually points to a problem with any CSS you may have set in your skin -- as I mentioned above, certain CSS tags (I've forgotten which) can break the custom CSS and make your content disappear.

wanna know something funny? @w@ i can't access the advanced css tab.

i'll try to explain in detail >w<

1) ever since MT made the layout change, i have not uploaded a layout. i cant remember if i visited the advanced css tab, but now i can't get to its page. only tab available is colors.

2) i have not uploaded any images in the skin builder.

3) in the skin builder, i am not able to access the "background" and "advanced css tab". actually, i dont rlly remember that i ever was able to do so. i thought that maybe u werent allowed to access those tabs unless u upload something in the colors tab (only tab i have access too). but even so since i have no layout design, i thought i would ignore that and leave it alone.

Are you sure your accessing the right thing .? You go to your own userpage and click on the Edit Style like here

And there will be a Background Color tab, Advance CSS tab, and the Skin Builder.

yeah, that edit style button is where i went to.
and no matter how many times i click on the advanced css and background tab, it's stuck on the colors tab.
and i havent put any layout code or uploaded any pictures because i didnt make any (didnt have time for it).

i'm not sure if i remember going into advanced css and putting anything there, but whether i did or didnt it's kinda hopeless to check because i cant even view its window.

i thought it might be my computer or browser, but i tried various browsers and different computers and i still cant get to any other tab besides "colors".

You put the HTML content in the "custom CSS" box, that's why it won't let you access the advanced CSS tab and why the HTML isn't showing. Anyway, I've deleted the stuff in your CSS box, and it should work now ^__^
