Back when I fired up the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and that haunting piano plays as the sun rises over Hyrule Field and Link rides through on Epona, then the ocarina kicks in. I was in heaven... That song is still the best to this day. The only thing that comes close is Eternity from the ffx-2 soundtrack(damn that game and it's brilliant ost).

My very first videogame song goes back to the Sega Genesis days. The ending theme from
Outrun 2019. It has a nice simple upbeat tune I had always find it a joy to listen to whenever I beat that game.

Most definately Schala's theme or the Zeal theme from Chrono Trigger, but Frog's theme was pretty rocking as well. Those were probably my first simply because I can't remember too much before them :D

Has to be the music of Final Fantasy VII hands down. Aeris' theme if i had to pick one, but that whole soundtrack is amazing. also the zone of enders games had special music. and lets not forget the chocobo themes from all the ff games

Liberi Fatali from Final Fantasy viii. It's the one from the opening. I've liked many songs before that, but that's the first one that made me go "woow", I still listen to it to this day ^_^'

Eyes On Me from FF8

Radical Dreamers ~Without Stealing the Jewel~ from Chrono Cross

My personal favourite game OST is Chrono Cross. From the very first scene, when I heard the music ( called Chrono Cross ~Time's Scar~ ) - I fell in love with the game's music. It started so beautifully, and then it started faster and faster with incredible CG scenes from the game. Definitely worth it.

As for theme music, other than Chrono Cross, I love Valkyrie Profile's theme music, especially the one where Lenneth came down to earth to retrieve the chosen ones' soul. If I'm not mistaken, I think it's called 'Behave'. I have the midi though. xd

The opening song of Zelda 2 was the first one that really struck me. But the music for FF4 and FF6 will always be the best!

One Winged Angel in ffvii, Liberi Fatali (opening) and The Landing (from the Dollet mssion on fviii) from Final Fantasy VIII
Those are a couple of my favourites,
but the opening theme to Megam Man 3 will always be a classic ^_^
