I adore ecchi and ecchi anime...I found out by accident that I loved it and can't seem to get enough of it, the same goes with yaoi anime, branching out...but it's true if you really pay attention you'll see ecchi is every anime, from pokemon to the higher levels like blood+...remember ecchi is anything from big boobs to pantie shots to more...ecchi has a ride variety and range before it even becomes the bad stuff

I generally don't mind even pornographic stuff as long as it's well written. Unfortunately, most shows that fall under the "ecchi" genre tend to be mind-numbingly stupid and infantile, mostly made to parade a set number of girls whom the male lead can get into a lot of slapsticky situations with.

For instance, the manga "My Lovely Ghost, Kana" is basically softcore porn. And yet it's written with a keen sense of personal introspection and wit, taking in account the characters' situations, especially with one of them being a ghost. There's also Golden Boy, which gladly lampoons the living daylights out of everything with a gleam in its eye.

On the middle of the tree, there's stuff like Love Hina or Negima, which consists of pretty basic stuff, but still manages to coax out a heartfelt moment every now and then when it's not trying to recycle the same gags over and over again.

And then, there's utter and total shit like Kanokon (the anime, not the manga), DearS or UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie. Neither of these shows have anything even remotely meaningful to say. They're completely empty shows made so that infantile teenagers can see some tits and ass without having to worry about straining their prepubescent brains.

Yeah! the comedy in ecchi anime is very good/hilarious, and with a lil "romance" or "slice of life" its my favorite gender.

ecchi is funny and is in almost in every anime, one of my favorite ecchi's are tenjou tenge and vampire + rosario, too classic funny and one total beaten up action XD

Yes, Ecchi anime is good Such as Green Green ---Very ecchi but good when its not and at times funny and at others quite sad.....but there are some very good series with some ecchi scenes in them but I still won't let a friend of mine watch them or read them, just because I want to protect her innocence due to the fact that I really like her. So yeah, and I have recently stopped watching them because she told me that its not fair if I can watch them but she can't and I completely agreed with her, and I am glad that I did because things have gotten alot better between her and I. (and I do mean alot better) even though she is a sophmore and I am a senior.
