Wondering all you anime fanatics do you have marathons much and if so what do you watch

I've done it once or twice, with Fruits Basket and Chobits. But that was about a year ago, so I don't know if I'm up to my standards I was back then or not.

Personally... not really. Marathons aren't shown in the UK much, unless it's Dragonball Z onthe Cartoon Network, and there's only so much Dragonball this girl can stand O.o
Saying that, when the Tsubasa Chronicle & Bleach DVD's I bought on eBay arrive, there'll be no MT for me when I get home in the evenings ;)

I marathon all the time. I usually start watching a series after it's finished so I can watch a whole load of eps in one go. Gundam Seed was a good example, i started watching it quite late so I marathoned most of the series (10-15 eps sittings). Same with Chobits, Fruits Basket, Full Metal Alchemist, Love Hina, Ghost in the Shell tv 1&2 and One Piece. I only found out about these animes after they had finished or in the case of One Piece had been going for 150+eps.
There's only a couple of ongoing shows that i watch weekly as the eps come out.

If by 'marathon' you mean continuous viewing of any particular anime from from 1st ep to end, then yeah, I plead guilty.
I've done full marathons of Gundam Seed, Mai Hime, Tsukihime, Orphen 1 & 2, FMP + Fumoffu, Fullmetal Alchemist, Starship Operator, ZOE: Dolores, Chrno Crusade, GitS:SAC, etc. Many times actually.
It's just not all of them one after another (i.e. like finishing GS then immediately start with FMA) bcoz my DVD player would melt.
But once I start on one anime,

When I watch anime I usually do marathons at night. 7-10 eps sessions if the serie is longer, 4-7 eps if it's shorter. It depends on the anime, I watch only finished series so I can see how many eps it has and split them on sessions. If I like the serie, I prefere to watch it a little longer so I do less eps at one time. But if it's nothing special I just go through it watching more eps at one session.

I've watch it at least twice. First, watch every episode as they're out. And then, after the series finished, i watch the whole thing again from the first to the end. So, yes, i do marathon.

i watched the whole "now and then here and there" anime at once (13 eps), i tried to whatch all the nge eps at once but that didn't work out very well but if an anime has a bit more than 10 episodes with normal 30 to 45min length then i try to watch'em all if the anime is worth enough doing it of cause..

In the UK there's only marathons for things like Dragonball, like yurikohime said, and I personally can't stand that show. Why do they have to carry on fighting for their whole lifes, why don't they just nuke each other???! Sorry about that ^_^'

Azumanga Daioh, D.N Angel, Excel Saga ( I remember not sleeping when the next day I have to go to sch for this one..:P)..... quite abit more...but not too many....probably oni done abt 10 - 15 full series marathon.....either in holiday or just too absorbing ....

I wish I had the time for a anime marathon especially with work and school getting in the way. Back in middle/high school I had them atleast every Saturday.

i dont do it that often because my parents dont like anime so i have to wait until theyre gone but i would watch the entire first season of magic knight rayearth or a variety of anime

yes there was this channel in our country that airs anime in marathon.

I did it with Fullmetal Alchemist, finished all 50 eps in around 1 day, probably 2. But i swear i was addicted to FMA till the very end. Main reason for that was because it was licensed early and i waited till it all came out. ^^. Onegai teacher as well, but it was a short 13 ep series and i dont consider that a marathon. If something hooks me, i go all the way. (Not drugs tho ^^)

i plan to have an A!MG marathon, thats the OVA, Movie and TV series, which is about 16 hours worth of Ah! My Goddess :Dim getting the last dvd to Onegai Twins next week, while i have seen first dvd i havent watched the rest as i wanna watch it all in one go hehe, so after that im going to watch Onegai Teacher, then go onto Onegai Twins, while it doesnt directly continue, its still in the same "universe"

Turn A gundam, Tsukihime, AIR, Kannon, .... and a lot others which i don't know the name in english... coz im a chinese, so i watched the jap version with subs in it- Oct 19, 2005
