Everytime you multiply the number that has it's head smaller than the number followed it, unless it is 10, 20, 30, etc, with 9, and then you plus the result's head ith the number followed it, it'd back to 9.
1x9=9
2x9=18 ===> 1+8=9
3x9=27 ===> 2+7=9
4x9=36 ===> 3+6=9
10x9=90 ===> 9+0=9
12x9=108 ===> 1+0+8=9
100x9=900 ===> 9=+0+0=9
123x9=1107 ===> 1+1+0+7=9, etc
But it doesn't apply when you multiply the number that has it's head larger than the number followed it, or if they are equal.
11x9=99 ===> 9+9=18
21x9=189 ===> 1+8+9=18
22x8=198 ===> 1+9+8=18
31x9=279 ===> 2+7+9=18
111x9=999 ===> 9+9+9=27
121x9=1089 ===> 1+0+8+9=18, etc

yeah I know, it's just fun to mess with people who don't look at it closely ;)
To go with the math interesting facts (like the 9 one),
to figure out if a number is divisible by 3, add all its digits, and if the sum is a multiple of 3, then the number is divisible by 3. Ex: 325 -> 3 + 2 + 5 = 10, therefore 325 is not divisible by 3. 4263 -> 4 + 2 + 6 + 3 = 15, therefore 4263 is divisible by 3.
