i'm the same as you bluemiracle, it takes me the same amount of time to read a chapter w/ furigana as well. as long as i can understand what i read, then it's fine with me. but with the games (especially GAII since the main hero talks now), i can understand even more than before. i still don't understand everything that happened in the past 3 GA games since my japanese skills were so low back then. maybe i should play it again with my new found leveled up understanding.
here's a question that i don't think was answered yet, how did you guys come across the GA series? my story is that one day (which was like 6 years ago) i was going through an online store looking for some import games when i stumbled across a toys link. when i clicked on it, i saw models for like macross and gundam and other things i can't remember. the very last item on the list was actually GA figures which you can combine (i think it's the ones when they're sitting on the yellow chairs). i thought to myself "huh...galaxy angel. never heard of it. the girls look pretty cute. i wonder if there's an anime for it." from then on, i've been searching anything GA related which eventually led me up to the games. by the time i learned about the games, ML was the latest release with EL coming out soon after that.
sorry Nano-Nano, i was planning on waiting for you to respond for the survey before but i just have to make this next one which is related to it. thanks goes to Likkun for somewhat telling me.
Best Milfy Solo Song: Team Mate ~acoustic version~
This was a real toughie for me. as Likkun said, all the songs that Shintani Ryoko sang after Lucky Girl were fantastic.
i remember that this song just hit me when i first heard it. it's very moving for me lyric wise, music wise, and
everything about it. Shintani Ryoko truely is a great singer for a seiyuu. the ending song for hime-sama goyoujin just
blew me away. i couldn't believe she could articulate that fast.
Best Ranpha Solo Song: Flower Revolution
unfortunately, i haven't heard too much of ranpha's songs. but i remember when i first heard this song as an
insert for one of the GA shows (the one when forte pretended to die so ranpha could hook up with that one guy), i
immediately searched for this song. it was either this, Moonlight Christmas, or Longin' For You.
Best Mint Solo Song: In My Heart
I don't know why i like this song. i've listened to the other mint songs, but for some reason this one just
hits home with me.
Best Forte Solo Song: Dan Gan Beat
now this song was just too awesome. this has a good beat with the cool and stylish singing of Yamaguchi Mayumi.
especially love the chorus when forte sings in english (yes, english...not engrish). forte's so cool!
Best Vanilla Solo Song: Smile of Snowflake
You have no idea how much time i spent thinking about this! before i gave vanilla's voice a 3 because of the
monotone. but if she breaks away from her usual voice, she gets a whoppin' 5+. Kanai Mika is seriously a great
singer when it comes to slow songs. how angelic can someone's singing get? i think this is the ultimate of angelic
singing (how appropriate seeing how it's a christmas song). no seriously, i had a hard time choosing a favorite for
vanilla.
Best Chitose Solo Song: Let Me Fly Away
you thought i had a hard time with vanilla? keh, that was nothing compared to chitose. obviously since she's my
favorite singer, i couldn't choose a best one for a long time. the main factor for me choosing this song was for
sentimental reasons. this song was the thing that triggered my liking of chitose. after this song, i fell in love with
her. even though Goto Saori hasn't done much yet, i'm glad that she was in the GA series.
Funniest Song: Atatamemasu ka
what's with this category you're wondering? i was flipping through my collection for the categories above when
i remembered the songs that made me laugh. this song is soooo freakin funny! this is in the Galaxy Angel Yaminabe CD 7th
track. if you have it and haven't heard it yet, give it a go and see what i mean. i didn't know it would be so
funny to sing out of tune on purpose.
Honorable mentions: Happy Birthday, Normad Guruguru Love, & Day Dream
the Happy Birthday song is kind of like a drama as well. they talk normally and then break out into singing in certain
parts. i thought the story and song were pretty funny. oh man, if you haven't heard the Normad Guruguru Love song
yet, you must find it and listen to it. very hillarious! i can't describe it any other way. i don't know the
real title to the Day Dream song since i can't read the 2 kanji before it, but it's the one when volcott sings
it. oh man, what sad and funny song at the same time. the latter 2 songs are from normad's character album. the
other song in there is funny as well.
again, sorry Nano-Nano. looks like you'll have to do 2 surveys if you're up to it (unless you posted the first one while i was taking forever on this one).
