Crawling Chaos

Bah, Suicide under any circumstance is nothing but a drastic escape attempt. It accomplishes nothing and helps no one. A person that commits such an act is utterly useless as far as I'm concerned. But, that's just my opinion, I could care less what other people do. If a person is that weak they should probably just do what they want and stop wasting my air.

No, Suicide is never worth it.
It is a selfish action, it only stop the pain for the person who committed it, but there'll still be pain, for the loved ones and people who care.
Just think, how many people die everyday in accidents and other tragedies, when they still have many things they want to do.
What do you think they would think if somebody shows so little regard for life?
Everyone should be thankful that they're alive each day.

As you said, only selfish or truly desperate people try that.
Selfish because they don't care about the loved ones they leave behind, desperate because they have no loved one to leave behind.
Anyways, usually cowards attempt suicide. They don't have the guts to face life, which is usually black than pink.
If they're selfish, then they must think of themselves before this!
'Hey, if I kill myself I'll definitely go to Hell and spent an eternity in tortures.'
Like this, simple and clean.
Suicide is not worth it, unless you do it to save a huge mass of people. For example, you kill yourself so terrorists can't interrogate you or find out some secret plans that would destroy a whole country. That's an... acceptable suicide.

Suicide is sad and selfish T-T

I feel sorry for those people who didn't have anymore courage to live on anymore... But I feel even more sorry for those they left behind....

It's never acceptable to take a life, even yours. Because you don't only belong to yourself...^^

this thread is kinda laughable, since if your dead... what is the worth of anything?

nothing, you can only appreciate life if your alive, and commiting suicide is the same as giving everythign up, including worthiness of everything.

Wandering in The Fog

Well to me it's rather simple, because I don't really believe in a hereafter right now. There is no coming back from death, therefore every and any life is worth living. Just think about the gravity of that; your existence has ended. No more you, nowhere.

If your life was a book, would anyone want to read it?

hmm i knew someone who i was really closed to who did suicide...i'm not sure why, they said he was depressed and so he hung himself off a tree...and i find that really sad because he had a family who really loved him and so many friends who supported him. i don't understand his reasons because i don't know them and i can't feel them since i don't think the same way he did, but i do know that he must have been suffering... and it doesn't matter if the reason was small or important because if it was really hurting him, then that is important enough. what was sad though, and what i found out was that in the end no one was willing to hold out their hand for him and help him (by the way he was 17 years old). so now i think it's a necessity that you have someone close to you to give you that kind of reason when you think of suicide. some friend or family that can support you all the way and never leave.

my personal opinion on it though is that suicide is a selfish and cowardly thing to do. if you kill yourself just because there were some obstacles in your life, then that makes you a coward for giving up so easily. it's also selfish because when that person dies, the people who loved him/her has to suffer as well.

"I must destroy the despair-night
To shine in Eternity's sunshine."

Suicide is stupid. It shows what an idiot you are. If the person wants to die so much she/he should do it in a better way that can at least bring a bit of benefit to others

suicidal people piss me off. What the hell people, oh my life sucks I'll just slash my wrists or jump off a high balcony. There are many ways in which people can get help like my favourite one, lighten the hell up. Life isn't all sunshine and farts no it sucks and at times it sucks even more. The strongest people are those who can find a way through their problems, not make more by toping themselves.

Sanely insane!

Suicide is soooo not worth it! Its a very stupid way to get rid of all your problems... It doesn't solve the problem mind you, just erases it. Like, if u cease to exist so will the problem! But think about the burden your loved ones have to face! Firstly the loss and next the cause! My friend committed suicide and till date I haven't been able to get over it or forgive her! She didn't even let people know the reason! No one has the right to cause others inconvenience even if they are but taking their own lives...

I think one should talk to some one about their problems and must understand that the aren't the only ones who need sympathy here! There are so many others who live despite the fact the their conditions are even worse!

Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience!

NOTHING in this world is worse than killing yourself. I find it to be the cowardly way out. AND THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE THOUGHTS LIKE THIS....YOU DON'T GET IT AT ALL DO YOU?...THE ONE WHO GETS TO DIE JUST DIES AND THAT'S GOOD-BYE, THE END. THOSE WHO ARE LEFT BEHIND ARE THE ONES SADDLED WITH THE BURDEN OF LIVING.....

Don't run away from problems. Face them. You may not create problems for yourself, but you might create problems for your loved ones. Maybe. But suicide isn't the way to solve problems.

From the mind comes the query.

AN ABSOLUTELY HAREBRAINED, INEPT, EVEN SELF-SADISTIC ATTEMPT AT SELF-GLORIFICATION. THAT'S WHAT IT IS.

TOO OBSSESSED, TOO EGOTISTIC, TOO STUPID TO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

I HAVE NO PATIENCE WHATSOEVER FOR THESE SELF-GLORIFYING EGOTISTS.

Suicide is usually an act of last resort when a person is at the bottom point of their life. So I highly doubt that they would have a superiority complex if that's what you are trying to get at.

As for stupidity, situations for suicide vary from individual to individual. The person would have to be emotionally weak (Or the pain inflicted must be of an extremely high level) in order to draw so much grievance from the situation they are in. A common example of suicide is "Bullycide", where the victim of a bully in school or work decides that he/she cannot cope with the pressure of being verbally and/ or physically abused.

The mental impact of mental and physical abuse during the growing and adolescent years has a remarkable impact on a person's rationale and often, the mark is left for years to come in the cases of those who choose not to commit suicide. As for informing adults? Well, most young children and adolescents have a fear of talking to adults on just about any topic for fear of being reprimanded and/or making the situation worse.

Suicide does not happen for no reason, it is the result of psychological torment which impedes the thought process, rationale and stress levels of a human being, thus driving them to believe that freedom from their torment exists in death.

Holdin onto the past!

I completely do not agree with suicide. If you tell me you're going to kill yourself ( in person) I will shout at you in spainish and i WILL hurt you, Especially if you're someone i care about. I will beat it into you, i will make you feel guilty. I use this this question to friends and family who even consider suicide. "Are you going to leave everything behind. Are you going to leave me behind to morn your death, to dig your grave for you? You would leave everything behind because one problem out of the thousands there are in the world?"

I completely say that suicide is indeed! NOT WORTH IT! and to any MT member reading this and feeling suicidal, I say for you to just work out the prolem, there is a way to fix everything. Unless you are a human with a rabid rabbit growing in your throat and are crapping piles and piles of worms every day. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER SUICIDE!

I think i got my point across lol. NEXT POST! *hops away*

Killing yourself doesn't "solve your problems". I makes it so you don't have to deal with your problems, i.e., they're not your problems anymore.

No, suicide isn't "worth it" in many cases. The grief it may bring to others isn't really a good reason for someone not to kill themselves. It's their life and if they don't wish to live that's not something that can be justly imposed upon them by people who only "care" about them because they happen to be related in some way, be it through family or because they happened to have met. In the long run, they won't think much of your death and move on with their lives.
By the way, I'm using "you" in the third person.

suicide is never the answer....

Ummmm....well the question is "is it worth it?"
Worth it for what? to end pain such as a chronic cancer patient?
To end suffering like living in a 3rd world starving country?
Or is the kind your talking about related to being too weak to function in a world that has given and offered everything.....

Suicide is just the lazy mans way out of life.....

??

This thread jumped at me so I thought I'd respond. As I can see, many people have had thoughts of suicide, who hasn't? If you heard of suicide, there's a real good chance you thought about it as an alternative at least once. The part that no one should ever do is to justify suicide as being the only solution to their problems. That is a big no no.

Killing yourself will solve nothing at all, you're just simply dead. Will killing yourself end the pain? If you are unsuccessful at it, the answer is hell no! You'll have to go to the hospital, face possible criminal charges, deal with more humiliation than anything you've experienced before you even attempted suicide, etc.

If you are successful, what if there's an afterlife? Then you'll have to come to grips with the fact that no matter what you do, you're not dying anytime soon. If you believe in hell, may I ask why you'd be dumb enough to kill yourself? Are you an idiot?! Satan will make your eternity suck. And if you think that death is just a everlasting form of sleep, then have fun not being able to fix your problems. At least when you are alive, you still have chances and choices to make, and if you think you're useless now, think about how useless you'll be dead. I know it sounds harsh, but seriously, a human is best kept alive.

Back to Basics

Never. Murder is a bad option. Murdering yourself is less than that.

In a way I think some persons have no choice, you know when u got a such sad and depressive life... I wonder, 'cause you never know if things can turn better one day, u could miss something by committing suicide. :/

The human body is a work of art, a wonderful machine. Killing it is a waste of life, an insult to whomever bore you and extremely selfish. Although you may feel that the world is against you, there is always one person who will care, and alienating them by saying things like "You hate me" and "Don't pretend you care" will make you feel all the worse.

I have felt suicidal myself, and it isn't a nice feeling, but you have to try and get out of it, not sink deeper, otherwise there is no hope for you.

Suicide is (almost) never the answer, though it may certainly seem that way sometimes.

For most people contemplating suicide, the circumstances are really not that bad. Typically, other people will be worse off and even have a way of coping with whatever is wrong.

The times I can agree to suicide, though not exactly applaud it, is if personal moral and ethical reasons compel to self eradication. Perhaps out of guilt from doing something utterly horrible. It'd probably be best to own up to it, face the music and stop being a chicken poop, but some people just aren't geared that way.

I can also agree to it if you're terminally ill and there simply really is no way of recovering and every day is spent in absolute suffering hell. Better cast off this mortal shell and all its pain, in that case.

But if your bf/gf cheats on you *knock on wood*, you fail your grades, you lose your job, you get in a bad stink, or any of the other curveballs life throws at you - they're no reason to end your life. They're challenges that make life what it is. Like the zombies in Resident Evil. Wouldn't be much of a game without zombies (challenges).

My 2 cents.

nah not really.. you'll regret it in the end.. some people say that it is the most easiest way to find peace?.. peace for running away from their problems and pains.. but in the end.. the only one who will suffer from it is you...

Everytime i hear someone who'll attempt suicide it only pisses me off... such a waste of time.. the only thing that'll benefit you from suicide is "temporary attention"...
